1. Who we are

ResumeAI is a free AI-powered resume optimisation tool available at mycvfix.com. We help job seekers improve their resumes to pass ATS (Applicant Tracking System) filters and land more interviews.

2. What data we collect

We collect the minimum data necessary to provide the service:

Resume text — submitted by you for analysis. This is sent to our AI provider for processing and is not stored after your session ends.
Job description text — submitted by you for analysis. Same as above — not stored.
Basic usage data — anonymised request logs (IP address, timestamp, response time) retained for up to 7 days for security and abuse prevention purposes only.

We do not collect names, email addresses, phone numbers or any other personally identifiable information. No account is required to use the service.

3. How we use your data

Your resume and job description are used solely to generate the AI analysis and rewrite suggestions you requested. They are:

Sent to our AI API (DeepSeek) for processing
Not stored on our servers after the response is returned
Not used to train AI models
Not shared with third parties for marketing purposes
Not sold under any circumstances

4. Third-party services

We use the following third-party services to operate the tool:

DeepSeek API — AI model provider that processes your resume text. DeepSeek's data handling is governed by their own privacy policy.
Vercel — hosting and infrastructure provider. Vercel may process anonymised request logs as part of their service.

We do not use Google Analytics, Facebook Pixel, or any advertising trackers.

5. Cookies

We use only one functional cookie: your language preference (stored locally in your browser via localStorage). No tracking cookies, no advertising cookies, no third-party cookies.

6. Your rights (GDPR)

If you are located in the European Economic Area (EEA), you have rights under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). Since we do not store personal data beyond anonymised logs, there is typically nothing to access, correct or delete. If you have any concerns, please contact us.

7. Data retention

Resume and job description content: not retained after processing (session only).

Anonymised server logs: retained for up to 7 days, then automatically deleted.

8. Children

ResumeAI is not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy occasionally. Changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
